Board GameBG: Board GameBGA Boardgame is defined as a game of strategy played by moving pieces on a board. Examples are chess, checkers, and risk. We've broadened this category to include strategy games that may not require a board, but have a similar style of play. Examples would include Lord of the Fries, and tiddlywinks. Basically, a Boardgame is any game that does not fit in the categories below.
Card GameCG: Card GameCGA Card game is any game that uses cards as the main component of the game. Most Collectable / Tradable Card Games fall into this group (i.e. Magic the Gathering and the Marvel VS System). Also Non-Collectable Games that contain cards as the primary element like Groo the Wanderer, Killer Bunny's, and Poker.
Electronic GameEG: Electronic GameEGAn Electronic game is played primarily or completely with the aid of a computer or console station. Networks are often created to allow a larger number of players then would be able to play a traditional game. Computers also allow higher level of details than most players could track at one time to affect the game. Halo on the X-Box, Warcraft on the PC, and RSI’s Orcs vs. Dwarfs are all examples of Electronic Gaming.
Live ActionLA: Live ActionLALive Action Games are interactive roleplaying games where the players interact as much as possible in character, and often dress in costumes and talk in accents. Its sort of like improvisational theater, but with rules governing the player's actions. Dinner mysteries are forms of Live Action Games.
Miniature GameMG: Miniature GameMGA Miniatures Game is generally a battle game which makes use of small figurines to represent characters in the game. It is usually accompanied by miniature terrain to represent things like houses, trees, and fences that affect the play of the game. The effect is a small 3-D scene where terrain and obstacles become part of the challenge to navigate your way to victory.

Roleplaying GameRP: Roleplaying GameRPRoleplaying Games are games where a group story is told with one player being a kind of director, guiding the other players though a plotline and playing the parts of the non-player characters, and the other players play the parts of the lead characters in the story. The game aspect comes in with a set of rules used to tell the players when their characters are successful at any actions they take. Even though there is a certain amount of acting in a Roleplaying Game, they are generally played while sitting at a table, talking about characters in third-person.
RPGA Living EventRA: RPGA Living EventRARoleplaying Game Association or (RPGA) is a gaming organization that structures Roleplaying Games to allow the continuation of stories from group to group without interruption. A member could take there Hero to any RPGA event and use the same character as the rules defining the characters creation and progression have been standardized by the organization.
