Specifications for Program Book Ads

Acceptable Formats
- PDF – optimized high-resolution only.
- TIFF – 300 dpi CMYK or grayscale.
- Flattened Illustrator or Photoshop file.
Bleed and Live Area
- A Bleed of 0.125" should be left around the edges of all images to insure they maintain read-ability when placed inline with program book text elements.
- The Bleed is inside the Ad Sizes specified above. This means any graphics or text elements important to your ad should be placed 1/8" inch inside the defined ad space.

Ad Basics
- Ad is due on February 4th, 2005.
- Ad must fit within the stated dimensions.
- Please proof your ad for correct size, contact information, and spelling.
- Digital submission is required for ALL ads.
Images in your ad
- Black-and-white ads: Please make sure all images are grayscale.
- Color ads: Please make sure all images are CMYK.
Digital File Preparation
Digital submission is required for ALL ads
- Submit your digital ad on a 100 MB ZIP, CD or e-mail. If sending file by e-mail, please contact our art department at art@conevents.com for instructions.
- All fonts and photos must be embedded. Photos should be at least 300 DPI.
- All color within an ad should be CMYK or grayscale, not RGB or Pantone.
- We cannot be held liable for color accuracy if contract color proof is not provided. Submit a 100% color proof, or a previously printed tear sheet. If the ad is black and white, please send a 100% laser printout.
ConEvents LLC Protective Clause
ConEvents LLC reserves the right to mark "advertisement" on copy that readers might confuse with editorial content and to refuse offensive copy. ConEvents LLC assumes no liability for errors in text, or contact information contained in your submission.
Advertisers and their respective agencies are held liable for all contents of advertisements printed, and for any claims arising there from made against ConEvents LLC.
ConEvents LLC is not liable for delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of an Act of God, action by any government or governing entity, fire, flood, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes, labor or materials shortage, transportation interruptions, work slowdown, or any condition beyond the control of ConEvents LLC that affects production or delivery in any manner.
Orders specifying positions are accepted subject to the right of ConEvents LLC to determine actual positions. Advertisements must be paid before February 5th in order to be submitted to the Program Book. Materials will be stored for one year, if no instructions are received to the contrary.
Additional Charges
Digital material submitted which does not meet specifications or is otherwise improperly prepared and requires additional work (typesetting, design, composition, artwork, halftones or color separations) on the part of ConEvents staff will incur a minimum charge of $50. If changes are extensive, additional charges at the rate of $35 per hour will be incurred.
