Molly Redenbaugh, Director of Product Development of Publication Services, is coming to educate us on the different aspects of Pre-Press bookwork. This workshop is a must for authors looking to self-publish their work, and those who want to put their best foot forward before sending their prized manuscript to the printer!
Everything you do from the time you write your book until it goes to the printer is considered "Pre-Press" work. It includes everything from editing to indexing to cover art, and can really add up to the overall cost of production if you don't understand the best ways to go about it.
For most authors and small publishers, knowing when they should and shouldn't invest in pre-press bookwork can be confusing. What part of it is really necessary, and when? There are times your cousin, the art major, CAN help you, and other when a professional is an absolute necessity. Molly will help us to understand the ins and outs of the pre-press industry, and how we can use it serve us in the most efficient manner.
