Speaker Profile

Barry Kerrigan is the President and Founder of Desktop Miracles, a book design and production studio celebrating its 10th Anniversary. His involvement in book design and production spans 15 years and more than 1000 projects. Barry is a frequent speaker and exhibitor at publishing seminars and trade shows nationwide, and the author of Book Design & Production: The Ultimate Guide to Editorial, Design, Production, and Manufacturing, a Summer 2005 release from Laughlin & Monroe Press.

He will be giving a hands-on workshop on Cover Design, which will include samples of covers. He will cover design and production processes, manufacturing specifications and file formats, and a host of other aspects of book design. He will be on hand to answer questions on all of the various aspects of Book Design and Production.

He will also be one of our panelists in our Cover Design and Free Critique Panel on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the North Ballroom. Bring your cover art, finished or unfinished, and you may be selected to have it critiqued by our professionals. (They will try to critique as many as possible during the panel, as well as answering your questions on cover art and design)
